Traditional bicarb often causes GI distress because it reacts with stomach acid. BiCarb Plus uses advanced carb gel technology to protect the bicarb as it passes through the stomach, releasing it only in the intestine. This effectively eliminates the risk of stomach upset.
For optimal buffering, consume 1 serving 90-120 minutes before your race or high-intensity training session. This allows peak blood alkalinity to align perfectly with the start of your effort.

Blood bicarbonate levels peak approximately 90–120 minutes after ingestion and remain elevated for several hours. This provides a sustained buffering window that covers the duration of most criteriums, time trials, and key segments of endurance races.
We recommend using BiCarb Plus primarily for competition and key high-intensity interval sessions where acidosis is the limiting factor. It is important to incorporate taking BiCarb Plus into key training sessions, so you're race day ready.
We don't recommend consuming more than 3 times a week, and definitely not for zone 2 or easy sessions.
BiCarb Plus does not contain prohibited ingredients or substances. We are in the process of obtaining HASTA and Informed Sport certification.
